Over one million and 700 thousand euros destined for Sicilian artisan businesses. This is what was decided by the Crias Board of Directors, which met under the presidency of Vitalba Vaccaro and on the proposal of the general director Giacomo Terranova. The approved measures concern medium-term credits granted at subsidized rates – 0.96% for young entrepreneurs and 1.28% for other businesses – aimed at the purchase of laboratories, machinery and equipment. “An injection of liquidity that confirms the role of Crias as an operational tool to support the growth and modernization of Sicilian craftsmanship. Supporting artisan businesses means strengthening the productive roots of Sicily – declares the regional councilor for Productive Activities, Edy Tamajo -. Our objective is to put companies in a position to grow, innovate and create employment. With these new loans we continue to give concrete answers to a sector that represents a essential to the economic fabric of the island”. Tamajo recalls how craftsmanship is at the center of the regional strategy for the development of micro and small businesses: “Crias, which will soon merge into the new Irca, is demonstrating great efficiency in the provision of credit – adds the councilor -, these further interventions confirm the Schifani Government’s commitment to encouraging real investments, supporting those who do business and valorising the work of our artisans”.
