A woman hit this morning by a car on the Santa Teresa di Riva seafront is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis at the Messina Polyclinic. The unfortunate woman, an 80-year-old from Limina, was crossing on the pedestrian crossing when she was hit by a Volkswagen Golf car proceeding towards Messina, driven by a 59-year-old man from Savoca. In the impact she was thrown a few meters forward and remained unconscious on the ground: her condition immediately appeared serious, as she suffered a head injury, and after the first resuscitation maneuvers on board the ambulance she became alert again, but the intervention of the helicopter was requested to speed up her admission to hospital. The aircraft then took her to the Polyclinic where she was hospitalized with a reserved prognosis. The investigations into the accident are conducted by the local police.
