Newborn in danger of life, urgently transported from Lamezia to Rome

An emergency medical transport, from Lamezia Terme to Ciampino, was carried out in the early hours of today's morning, with a Falcon 900 aircraft of the 1st Wing of the Air Force to a newborn baby, in imminent danger of life. This was announced by the Air Force. The little patient needed to be urgently transferred from the «Pugliese Ciaccio» hospital in Catanzaro to the «Bambino Gesù» pediatric hospital in Rome. The newborn traveled lying in a thermal cot, accompanied by a specialized medical team. At the arrival airport, an ambulance was already waiting for the little patient to transfer him directly to the «Bambino Gesù» pediatric hospital for hospitalization. The flight, defined in this case as «IPV – Imminent Danger of Life», was activated at the request of the Prefecture of Catanzaro to the Summit Situation Room of the Air Force Command.
