Lando Norris gives an encore after Hungary and also triumphs in the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix of Formula 1. The reigning champion of McLaren, author of a great show of strength, prevails ahead of Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes, achieving his thirteenth career victory. The World Championship leader, however, is further ahead of his boxing partner George Russell who, despite suffering at the end, manages to get on the podium. Lewis Hamilton and his Ferrari, however, remain outside the top 3 by a whisker. Fifth place for the other Red car driven by Charles Leclerc who, after a good start, was unable to get back into the fight for the podium. The “master” of the house Max Verstappen (Red Bull) ends up on the wall in the second lap and says goodbye to Zandvoort with a zero, which from next year will no longer be part of the calendar. His teammate Liam Lawson, however, achieved a seventh position behind Oscar Piastri’s McLaren. Completing the top 10 of the day are Nico Hulkenberg (Audi), Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) and Pierre Gasly (Alpine). Formula 1 will return to the track on the weekend of September 6th in Monza for the Italian Grand Prix.

Antonelli: “Very intense race”

«It was a very intense race. I managed to take the lead, but in the following tire stint I lost feeling with the car. After being overtaken by Norris, I knew I no longer had any chance of winning. Russell was a great team player, I’m happy he managed to bring home the podium.” Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli said this after his second place in the 2026 Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix. «Departure? We have done an exceptional job in this sense, improving a lot. Now we have to find a little more speed, because McLaren has grown so much”, explains the young Bolognese, at his thirteenth career podium and increasingly leading the world rankings.
