This was said by the president of the Calabria Region Roberto Occhiuto, deputy secretary of Forza Italia, on the sidelines of an initiative in Catanzaro, with reference to the political role at a national level he assumed after the “In Libertà” convention held in recent days at Palazzo Grazioli in Rome.
«I have always been politically active but from Rome onwards, my councilors – remarked Occhiuto – know well that in Calabria I only deal with the government of the Region and with tackling concrete problems. Then, of course, I am a national leader of the centre-right and I try to animate a debate in the national centre-right, but my feet remain well rooted in Calabria, where my roots are and therefore I have no intention of being distracted by anything else on a daily basis. I carry out my political activity at a national level, as is right, and I am happy that this space that I have opened has been hailed by everyone in the centre-right as a space of extreme novelty and great interest”.
