Before Sam Altman’s dismissal from OpenAI, some researchers had sent a letter to the board of directors of the company that heads ChatGPT in which they warned about a discovery in artificial intelligence that could threaten humanity. Reuters reports this on its website, citing some sources, according to whom the letter may have been one of the factors that led to Altman’s dismissal.

Controversy over OpenAI’s new board of directors, where “three white men currently sit to ensure that artificial intelligence brings benefits to all humanity.” The observation by Ashley Mayer, the number one at Coalition Operators, a venture capital firm, resonates with many observers convinced that OpenAI’s board should be more diverse. According to rumors, some women were suggested as members of the board but, in the end, no consensus was reached.
