Special moment tomorrow as part of the “Orchidea Trophy”, which will take place at the “PalaTracuzzi” starting from 11 am and continuing from 4.30 pm. An important space dedicated to volunteering, during the event for the awarding of patents and competitions reserved for adults and children, standard and Latin American dance competition (all categories).
In fact, there will be a fundraiser dedicated to a project promoted by the Solletico association, which deals with entertainment within the pediatric departments of the Policlinico hospital. A special moment with a show by a Paralympic couple, a father in a wheelchair dancing with his daughter for the “The Path of Little Heroes”, a permanent artistic installation intended for the Pediatric Nephrology department, currently under renovation. The project involves the creation of approximately 120 illustrative tables distributed throughout all the areas of the department (corridors, hospital rooms, dialysis room, games room, outpatient clinics and halls) for a total of approximately 100 m2 of graphic surfaces. The intervention is designed and implemented by Omnia Comunicazione Integrata, a studio with consolidated experience in setups for pediatric healthcare environments, already author of a similar intervention at the Pediatric Surgery Department of the same hospital in 2016.

The visual concept develops as a progressive narrative path, built around the figure of a young lion (Messina’s identity symbol) who accompanies the child through the different phases of the treatment process, transforming the hospital experience into a journey of awareness and strength. All materials are certified for healthcare environments (washable vinyl, supports compliant with fire regulations, safe fixing systems).
The project is financed through a fundraising campaign aimed at citizens, which includes a private collection and a public campaign on a crowdfunding platform (Produzioni dal Basso). The campaign has a civic and supportive nature: it aims to involve the Messina community in the improvement of a public hospital department for the benefit of children and families.
