The collaboration agreement between the National Agency for the Administration and the destination of the seized and confiscated assets to organized crime (ANBSC) and the mission structure for the exclusive economic area (ZES) was signed at the Interior Ministry, established at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. To sign the agreement, in the presence of the Undersecretary of State with delegation to the ANBSC Wanda Ferrothe prefect Maria Rosaria Laganàdirector of the agency, and the lawyer Giuseppe Romanocoordinator of the mission structure.
“The signature of the agreement carried out under the decisive patronage of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – highlighted the Undersecretary Iron – was strongly desired by the Meloni government and the Minister of the Interior, Matteo planted, to create a necessary and important synergy between the ANBSC and the Mission structure of the ZES. Thanks to the agreement, the real estate and confiscated companies, present in the areas of the single ZES, will be able to benefit from the simplified procedures provided for these areas, allowing to accelerate the return of these assets and companies to the community “.
The only ZES concerns the territories of the Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia regions in which there are 20,809 real estate already intended by the agency and 11,858 under management by the Agency, as well as 1,607 companies already intended and 2,089 under management.
Some innovative simplification tools offered by the Single Zes will be made available for confiscated assets so as to make the procedure more effective, in particular for the resolution of the technical-urbanistic criticalities that very often characterize the confiscated assets and to overcome the bureaucratic difficulties that can hinder the return of companies to the legal market.
