The proceedings before the LND-AIAC Arbitration Board promoted by the former coach Giuseppe Romano ended with a favorable outcome for ACR Messina 1900. Romano had been responsible for the first team in the 2025/2026 season until his dismissal on 13 January 2026.
The coach asked for the club to be ordered to pay over 10,000 euros gross as residual compensation. With the award of 22 October 2026, resolved unanimously, the Board declared the appeal inadmissible. According to the arbitrators, the application had not been preceded by a formal formal notice with the minimum deadline of seven days required by the Regulation.
The Board also accepted the company’s reading of the July correspondence. It was not a refusal to pay, but a request to clarify counts that were not reflected in the club’s accounting.
During the proceedings, the company reiterated that it had paid the fees until 31 December 2025, as attested by the release receipt signed by the technician. He also declared that he had regularized the subsequent monthly payments, with a final payment of 3,000 euros on 9 July 2026. The award places Romano’s responsibility for the operating costs of the College, the administrative rights and the defense costs of the club.
