Pain and tears, Serra’s last farewell to Lucia Vellone and Salvatore Primerano

Moved and silent crowd at the funeral of Lucia Vellone and Salvatore Primerano, victims of the road accident that occurred on the Trasversale Jonio-Tirreno. The funeral was celebrated in the Mother Church in the presence of family, friends and acquaintances, many of whom also came from neighboring towns. Great applause greeted the two coffins as they exited the Church from where the funeral procession began accompanied to the cemetery by the musical band. Shutters lowered and shops closed as the two coffins passed in an atmosphere of dutiful silence also in compliance with the city mourning proclaimed for two days by the mayor Alfredo Barillari. Tomorrow in the “Savini” hamlet of Sorianello the funeral of Domenico Massa, the third victim of the tragic road accident, will be celebrated.
