Palizzi, the flop on EU funds for turtles: six convicted of tax damage

The Court of Auditors has no doubts: the failure of the project financed by the EU for the protection of the Caretta-Caretta turtle, of which Palizzi was a common promoter, configures a quantified tax damage in 675,784.40 euros. And for this six in six, between former administrators and technical managers of the Town Hall, have been sentenced to the payment of the sum deducted from the part possibly already refused as part of a parallel accounting procedure.
The sentence filed in recent days retraces a complex process, triggered by the resolution with which in July 2012 the municipal council of Palazzi has established to participate in the “Life+ Nature and Biodiversity 2012” Community program as a proposer in partnership with other public and private subjects.
