Antonio Fantin won gold in the 100m freestyle S6 at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. The 23-year-old from Friuli closed the race in 1.03.12, a new world record. Silver for the Brazilian Glock (1.05.27), bronze for the Frenchman Chardard (1.05.28): it was the 12th gold medal for the Azzurri, never better than this edition of the Paris Paralympics, a record beaten shortly after thanks to the exploit of the duo Stefano Travisani and Elisabetta Mijno in the mixed recurve Team, first ahead of Turkey, beaten 6-2. Mirko Headinstead, won bronze in the men’s H3 cycling road race. Gold went to Frenchman Bosredon, silver to his compatriot Quaile.
