Now it’s official. Pasquale Tridico has chosen to remain in Strasbourg at the European Parliament. The former candidate of the progressive camp for the presidency of the Calabria Region has decided to opt for the seat won in the 2024 European elections. Tridico will not participate in the session of the Regional Council scheduled for Thursday 27 November, in his place will be the former five-star parliamentarian Elisabetta Barbuto (candidate for the last regional elections in the Center constituency).

His choice to opt for the European Parliament is logical and appropriate, in the primary interest of our region. The moment we are living in forcefully reminds us of the need for authentic political unity, inside and outside the Regional Council.
