The “loss” for a worker who completes quota 103 with 41 years of contributions and 62 years of age in the next year amounts to a monthly pension difference of 180 euros per month, equal to 10.2% of the overall allowance.

In fact, with the next budget law already in force and with the pension benefit starting 7 months after completion of the requirement on 1 October 2024, and considering that the contribution age requirement is reached in February 2024, the loss of gross earnings on a Average life expectancy for women of 84.8 years amounts to 51,480 euros.

The CGIL calculates this considering a gross salary of 25,000 euros gross. In the case of a “quote 103” pension calculated with contribution recalculation it is 1,570 euros gross, while the “quote 103” with mixed calculation would be 1,750 euros gross.

If a career with salary progressions is assumed, and the final salary is 50,000 euros for a worker – Ezio Cigna, responsible for social security policies of the national CGIL – the “quote 103” pension calculated with the contribution recalculation will be 2,273.77 euros gross while with mixed calculation it would have been 2,749.12 euros gross, with a monthly difference quantified by the CGIL as 475.35 euros.

The Worker who completes quota 103 with 41 years of contributions and 62 years of age in 2024 always with the benefit starting from 7 months after completion of the requirement on 01.10.2024, considering that the requirement is completed in February 2024 and includes approximately 13 years in the remuneration system the calculation of the gross loss of earnings on an average life expectancy of men of 80.5 years (therefore calculating 475.35 for 13 to 18 years) is 111,231 euros.
