“Performing” begins over the weekend, the national project led by the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro

The “Performing” project will officially start in a few days and until March 2026 will see the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro and eleven other Italian universities, conservatories and academies of fine arts in multiple initiatives throughout the national territory related to the arts performative, their mutual interaction and the contribution they bring to the social and cultural development of the territories that host them.

Catanzaro will therefore be the operational and coordination center of a wide-ranging project, financed by the Ministry of University and Research with approximately 3.7 million euros of the National Recovery and Resilience Planwhich intends to stimulate and incentivize the continuous integration between the different artistic expressions and the constant collaboration between those who work in the field of culture, art and new technologies, facilitating dialogue between young artists, scholars in training and professional figures who revolve around to the world of culture and technological evolution.

We start with a technical appointment next time October 10th from 3.30pmwhen, in the Aula Magna of the former Educandato headquarters of the Academy (via Tripoli, 46/48), the administrative representatives of the institutions involved will meet to discuss the activities in progress. The first two public events are scheduled starting from 6 pm with the presentation of the exhibition “Cantalamissa”, by Luana Perilli, curated by Simona Caramia, and with the live concert by Meet for Dogs, Reevocati and Bruno & the Souldiers (6 pm :30), edited by Vladimir Costabile.

Journalists and citizens who want to know the project in depth will be able to take part in the event press conference to be held on 11 October, at 10.30 am (Aula Magna, former Educandato headquarters). In the afternoon, the spotlight was on the reopening of the museum Metauros of Gioia Tauro (4pm) followed by the inauguration of the permanent installation “Giannuli/Sivelli”edited by Simona Caramia e Tommaso Palaia, before concluding with the concert of At the Coordinator.

On October 12th there will be space for books and words with “Books in the Castle”a national event organized by Oligo Publisher which this year will be held at the San Giovanni Monumental Complex with a day (from 11am to 8pm) entirely dedicated to the in-depth study of social, anthropological and historical themes. The event is open to the free participation of schools and all citizens.

The institutions involved in the project are: Academy of Fine Arts of Reggio Calabria, Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, Academy of Fine Arts of Sassari, ISIA of Faenza, Conservatory of Music of Naples, Conservatory of Music of Taranto, Conservatory of Music of Siena , Conservatory of Music of Terni, Conservatory of Music of Perugia, University of Brescia, Southern High School.
