A day dedicated to women’s health and prevention: on October 17th, the complex operating unit of gynecology and obstetrics of the “G. Martino” of Messina adheres to the (h) Open Weekend on menopause, a national initiative promoted by the Ets Onda Foundation.
From 8:30 to 12:30, at the clinics located on floor 0 of the NI pavilion, it will be possible to take advantage of free consultations aimed at women who wish to deepen the issues related to menopause and the changes it entails. To participate you must book at 090 2213569, active from Monday to Friday, from 15 to 19.
The aim of the initiative is to sensitize women on disorders and complications related to menopause, promoting prevention and correct information on diagnostic and therapeutic strategies capable of improving the quality of life. Consultants will also focus on the prevention of long -term pathologies, such as cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis and dementia.
“That of menopause is a theme that we are talking about, but is often treated superficially, leading many women to live passively and silent with the symptoms of this phase of profound change”, explains Francesca Merzagora, president of the Ets wave foundation. “With the increase in life prospect, today a woman can spend about thirty years in menopause: for this reason, correct information, conscious prevention and, when necessary, adequate treatment are essential to improve the quality of life and reduce chronic problems in the long run”.
The initiative adhere to over 170 structures of the Pink sticker network throughout Italy, which will offer free consultations, interviews, instrumental exams and information moments in different specialist areas, from cardiology to dietology, from endocrinology to psychiatry, to gynecology and breast.
On the website www.bollinirosa.it it is possible to consult the complete list of adhering hospitals, with the methods of access and booking to the various services.
