A turning point for the residents of Lighthouse Tower in view of the local elections on Sunday 24 and Monday 25 May. After an initial refusal, theATM has arranged for the activation of a free shuttle service to connect the village to the “Evemero” school complex Ganzirriwhere the seats were merged due to the unavailability of the “City of Florence” school, currently closed for works.
The decision came following a close institutional dialogue led by Giovanni La Rosawhich addressed the issue on Prefect of Messina after the first “no” from the transport company. “For us the priority is democracy”, declared La Rosa, underlining the need to guarantee the right to vote to citizens already penalized by the inconveniences encountered during the last referendum.

The free shuttle will operate the following shifts to facilitate voter turnout:
The path will connect the two villages starting from Torre Faro and passing through the streets Pozzo Giudeo, Scuole, Rando, Torre Nuova, Senatore Arena, Viale Cariddi and Via Circuito, until reaching the “Evemero” complex.
