A group of young Northern League members present at the demonstration in Pontida shouted: «Tajani, Tajani, Tajani, Vaff…». The group also unfurled a banner that read: «Ius Scholae in sight, Tajani smuggler?».

The choir was led by the councilor of the League of the Municipality of Milan, Alessandro Verri. Meanwhile, inside the tent the chants from the young people of the League continue: «Tajani is moderate, we are not». «There is only one secretary». The boys and girls of the League also lit several smoke bombs and waved flags.

“Politics is a serious matter and not a clash against those who think differently. We hope that the chants of young Northern League members against Antonio Tajani are only the result of ignorant young people and we expect them to be immediately denied by the Northern League leadership. The centre-right, thank you to President Berlusconi, has developed over time a tradition of listening, dialogue and synthesis that we hope no one wants to question” he writes in a note replying to what happened in Pontida Raffaele Nevispokesperson for Forza Italia.

«I apologize on their behalf. Every ally is a friend” Matteo Salvini replies and Tajani closes the circle: «Thank you Matteo Salvini. For me too, every ally is a friend. Loyalty is the principle on which the centre-right coalition governing Italy is based.”
