In recent days there has been a lot of talk about the stormy relationship between the municipality of Gioia Tauro and the port system authority. Or for better the relationship between The mayor Simona Scarcella and the president of the airport Andrea Agostinellthe. In that case it was working relationships that very little have reflected on the port infrastructure, but there is another vein of clash, in this case technical, between the two entities. This is the project, not yet financed, of widening the port of the port. An intervention considered vital for the future of the airport since it will allow you to embrace ships of 415 meters. The port system authority resumed an old project to expand the mouth from the Gioia Tauro side. But the Municipality during a preliminary technical meeting made it known that it does not agree on this proposal, declaring that the mouth is enlarged by the San Ferdinando side.
