Another tragedy has shaken the community of Praia a Mare: a 52 -year -old man, Raffaele Lagattawas overwhelmed by the Intercity night 34664 train, in transit on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria railway line. The accident took place on Tuesday near the Tyrrhenian town railway station. Although the immediate suspension of railway traffic for judicial findings has been ordered, the inconveniences were limited, thanks also to the night time and reduced traffic. Polfer authorized the resumption of circulation on a single track at 00:15, but the investigations continue to establish whether the accident was a voluntary gesture. On the spot the carabinieri of the Praia a Mare station and the colleagues of the Scalea company, as well as the volunteers of the Civil Protection and the Red Cross to offer assistance to travelers blocked at the station. The accident is not an isolated case.
