The former mayor of Praia a Mare, Biagio Praticò, the former secretary and the head of the urban planning sector were acquitted by the Court of Paola in a collegial session for omission of official acts in competition. They were defended by lawyers Sabrina Mannarino, Roberto Le Pera, Francesco Cristiani and Luigi Crusco. The former mayor was accused in competition with the municipal secretary of the time Rosa Santoro and the manager of the urban planning area of the municipality of Praia a Mare Andrea Avena as following a formal request for the extraction of copies of documents present in the office – relating to the list of lots located in the municipality of Praia falling within the area classified pursuant to Law 133/1983 issued by the Intendency of Finance – presented in May 2018 by Maria Pia Malvarosa, councilor municipal minority of the “Noi per Praia” group allegedly “omitted the official act by stating untruthful reasons, i.e. that the list of the Finance Authority could not be shared considering that it did not appear to be in the possession of the administration”.
