There are 60 public businesses in Capo d’Orlando, around 70% of those under control, at risk of closure if they do not submit the documentation requested by Palazzo Europa by the end of May.
Despite the previous invitations, which date back to the month of January, the owners did not provide the offices directed by the manager Salvatore Lo Cicero with the document certifying the safety measures certifying their maintenance as they existed at the time of the opening of the premises or as subsequently modified. If they do not comply by the end of the month, Palazzo Europa will be forced to suspend the license for three months and then close the place permanently in the event of failure to comply. The initiative was born from the directives of the prefect of Messina Cosima Di Stani following the Crans-Montana tragedy. Meanwhile, on-site checks have begun, with a municipal task force and with local police officers for the businesses that had submitted the documentation.
