Calabria is the heart of the new project of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data. The regional citadel will host, the next 21 and 22 May, the event “for digital equity: contrast to gender bias in the processing of personal data”, created with the support and collaboration of the FS group. Two days of studies and insights to promote the culture of the value of personal data and the responsible use of new technologies.
The initiative of the Guarantor Authority for the protection of personal data, which collects and relaunches the issues of the Privacy Tour, will involve a large and transversal public with institutional and marked professionalism of the academic, associative and entrepreneurial world. The College of Authority will be present: the President Pasquale Stanzionethe vice president Geneva Cerrina Feroni, the components Agostino Ghiglia And Guido Scorza.
During the conference, the Department of Mechanical, Energy and Management Engineering of the University of Calabria, in collaboration with the Department of Mechanics, Mathematics and Management of the Polytechnic of Bari will present their scientific research aimed at analyzing the perceptions of the recruiters on the role of artificial intelligence in the processes of staff selection. In particular, the study investigated the level of awareness of the recruiters with respect to gender bias and the trust placed in IA systems as tools to guarantee impartiality and inclusion. To submit the study the prof. Salvatore admiredScientific manager of the Judalab of the University of Calabria, while for the FS group it will be Happy Lo CatHR PM Office Transformation & Analytics, to reflect on the issues that emerged from the research. Will intervene among others Aldo Ferrara (President of UNOCHIOTRUSTRIA CALABRIA), Valter Quercioli (President of Federmanager National) Gianluigi Greco (University of Calabria and President of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence), Pierpaolo Pontrandolfo (Polytechnic of Bari and President of the Italian Association of Management Engineering), Marcello Ravameduto (Scientific Committee of the Magna Grecia Foundation).
The two days at the Regional Citadel of Catanzaro will open on Wednesday 21 May at 2 pm and will continue until 19; Thursday, however, the works will start at 9 to end at 1pm.
The initiative, with the support of the Calabria Region and the patronage of the Guarantor for the childhood and adolescence of the Calabria Region, is promoted, not only by the FS group, also by Digital Angels, Federmanager Minerva, Fondazione Magna Grecia, GPI, Polytechnic of Bari, Unindustria Calabria, University of Calabria, Roma Tre Studies.
