In recent days, a specific territory control activity was carried out in the area of Piazza Sant’Agostino, in Reggio. The operation saw the participation of the State Police, the Carabinieri, the Financial Police and the Municipal and Metropolitan Police. At the end of the programming, a safety device was put in place aimed at checks on commercial establishments, the fight against illegal immigration, with simultaneous judicial police activity.
The checks allowed us to identify 60 subjects, of which 3 were sanctioned according to art. 75 of Presidential Decree 309/90 for possession, for personal use, of narcotic substances. Another 3 foreigners, irregular on Italian territory, were notified by the Immigration Office of expulsion decrees, one of which with the obligation to leave the national territory within 7 days and two with the withdrawal of the passport and the obligation to sign . Two further expulsion decrees were also adopted for as many foreign citizens.
During the activity, the Anti-Crime Division adopted 2 measures compulsory expulsion order for as many subjects, of Colombian nationality, both with police prejudices, who practiced prostitution in an apartment located in the area adjacent to Piazza Sant’Agostino.
As part of the checks in question, the staff of the Administrative and Social Division of the Police Headquarters suspended, for a period of 15 days, with consequent closure, a commercial activity of vending machines for food, drinks and beverages. The provision is the result of numerous checks carried out by State Police personnel in the last period, which made it possible to ascertain how the activity in question was habitually frequented by subjects burdened by police and criminal records who, almost always, in in the afternoon and evening hours, they went to said business to purchase alcohol and consume it in the adjacent Piazza Sant’Agostino until late at night. The safety device will continue in the next few days.
