After 16 years of closing, the provincial road 245/B returns viable in the stretch that connects Grimaldi with Belsito to the junction of the A2 motorway in Piano Lago, in the Cosenza area. The president of the Province of Cosenza gives news, ROsaria Succurro.
The intervention, carried out by the Province of Cosenza for a value of about 480 thousand euros, allowed the safety of the roadway through a work of high engineering. Among the works performed, there are the construction of a ribbed bulkhead, the creation of transversal and longitudinal poles, interventions for the surface regulation, the installation of safety barriers and the new signs.
President Succurro expressed great satisfaction for the completion of the work and underlined the value of the intervention for local communities. “It is a clear signal – he said – of closeness to these territories, which have been waiting for a concrete response for years. We guarantee a safer and more functional roads, aware of the importance that these infrastructures have for local mobility and development “.
The president then spoke of the work that the body is carrying out to improve the provincial road network. “In the same stretch – he specified – we have two other interventions during the completion phase, which we will inaugurate shortly. We are also accelerating other works of primary importance, as is our habit, to guarantee citizens of modern and efficient infrastructures ».
Finally, Succurro reiterated the support of the Province to the smallest territories and their administrations: «I am always close to my colleagues mayors, who every day – he pointed out – collect the instances of citizens and must give quick answers. In particular, I remain next to the small municipalities, because they need more support and concrete actions to improve the quality of life of their communities ».
