Lewis Hamilton’s red car was twelfth. Formula 1 World Championship fully reopened to a late F1 season Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi next week. Thanks to the victory in Qatar Max Verstappen reduces the gap from championship leader Lando Norris to just 12 points. Oscar Piastri climbs to third place in the drivers’ standings, overtaken by Verstappen, and is now -16 behind teammate Norris.
