Over 78 thousand visitors in four days: this is the extraordinary result recorded by the first edition of the “Reggio Calabria Street Food Fest”, event conceived and organized by Eventual In collaboration with the Metropolitan City and the Municipality of Reggio Calabria. From the morning until late at night, the Lungomare Falcomatà turned into a large village of taste and entertainment, attracting a large and varied audience. The success of the initiative is also confirmed by the numbers of the web and social networks: 3 million views on official channels (2 million on Facebook and 1 million on Instagram), 14 thousand interactions and 3 thousand new followers. The event website recorded 5 thousand access in the days of the eventdemonstrating an increasing interest in the initiative also on the net.
In addition to the imposing turnout, the Festival also involved the world of information: About 200 newspapers and journalists from Calabria and Sicilya dedicated press tour, eight press releases and over 20 editorial offices present. The event also showed the local excellence, between show cooking with nine chefs, eight ice cream makers and itineraries to discover Calabrian companies.
Behind the scenes, an imposing organizational machine: 14 days of installations, 30 people engaged in technical and logistical activitiessix trucks and eight lively vans. During the event, the safety was guaranteed 24 hours a day with armed surveillance, health rescue, civil protection, firefighter service and the support of the police. The lighting of the area requested over 55 headlights and an energy consumption of about 700kw, powered by three generating groups.
“It is a very complex organizational machine that never stops,” Alberto Palella, the sole director of Even. “We are proud of the success and visibility achieved for Reggio Calabria and its area.”
The event thus is a candidate to become a fixed appointment, capable of combining promotion of the territory, gastronomic culture and entertainment.
