Arrical beats cash, requests the return of 5.3 million euros to the Metropolitan City for the works and management of the Sambatello waste treatment plant. The story revolves around an agreement signed in 2020 regarding the mixed contract for works and services for the structure which was supposed to revolutionize the waste supply chain in the Reggio area. Document with which the Metropolitan City as ATO Rc, in the name and on behalf of the 97 municipalities of the territory, assumed the role of implementing entity of the operation, as well as the verification of the incoming sums and the related commitment.
The amount of works admitted for financing on the Por Calabria Fesr 2014-2020 amounts to 41.3 million euros (of which 32.8 for contract-based works and 8.6 for sums available to the Administration). The agreement provides that “the first tranche, equal to 30% of the sums, will be paid to the Implementing Party” and in this regard the Calabria Region has transferred the sum equal to 12.3 million to the metropolitan city as an advance.
