The young athletes of the sports associations of Taekwondo were rewarded in the Italian Chandeliers Room of the Italo Falcomatà of Palazzo San Giorgio who, with commitment and dedication, participated in national competitions obtaining important results. To deliver the awards was the mayor Giuseppe Falcomatàsupported by the councilor delegated to sport Giovanni Latella and by the councilor Giuseppe De Biasi.

Realities that are being known not only for the results obtained by the athletes, but also because, for our Reggio, sport represents a social garrison, a right of citizenship that must be guaranteed. With this symbolic award ceremony we want to thank the societies and families who work every day to guarantee this right ».
“We no longer want to talk about” major “and” minor “sports – added Falcomatà – and we do not want to exist sports realities of Serie A and others of Serie B. Through these days we thank for the work you do in the city and we renew our commitment to improve the spaces intended for sport, so that our boys can grow in increasingly adequate environments. In recent months we have worked to give a new sporting identity also to the redeveloped spaces, not only facilities for football or basketball, but multifunctional gyms that can host multiple sports disciplines in synergy with each other. This is the idea behind the project for the San Giovannello gym, whose works will end in September: to make it the house of different disciplines, so that they can organize sporting and agonistic events that have so far been difficult to create in the absence of a “sport of sport” “.
The councilor Giovanni Latella wanted to thank the sports associations, defining her the “beating heart” of the city sport, and recalled the importance of families: “Behind every young athlete there is a great commitment from the parents, a commitment that deserves to be recognized”.
