Reggio Calabria, Pope Leo XIV appoints Monsignor Santo Marcianò bishop of Frosinone and Anagni

Pope Leo XIV accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the diocese of Frosinoneveroli-Ferentino and Anagni-Alatri, joined in the Episcopi person, presented by Monsignor Ambrogio Spreafico and has Ominato in his place Monsignor Saint Marcianòformer military ordinary archbishop of Italy, keeping him ad personam the title of Archbishop. Monsignor Santo Marcianò was born on April 10, 1960 in Reggio Calabriain the homonymous province and metropolitan archdiocese. He graduated in Economics and Commerce from the University of Messinaand the cod in theology at the Pontifical Lateran University of Rome. He also obtained his license in Sacra Liturgy, as well as the doctorate at the Pontifical University of S. Anselmo in Rome. He was ordained priest on April 9, 1988. He held the following positions: parish priest in Santa Venus and parish vicar of the Santa Maria del Divino Rescue (1988-1991); Spiritual father at the Archiepiscopal Seminary Pius XI (1991-1996); Rector of the same seminar and teacher of liturgy and sacrament theology (since 1996); Director of the Office for the Pastoraling of Vocations (since 2000). It was episcopal vicar for the permanent diaconate and the ministries. Elected Archbishop of Rossano-Cariati on May 6, 2006, he received the episcopal consecration on the following June 21. On 10 October 2013 he was appointed military ordinary for Italy, a position ended at the age of 65.
