Third session of the Regional Council just three weeks after its inauguration. The tour de force is affected by deadlines for the approval of the preparatory documents for the definition of the 2026 budget forecast. After the various reports of regional companies and investee companies, the Council yesterday faced the examination of two important points: the legislative proposal, initiated by the Regional Council, on the assessment of the budget forecast for the years 2025-2027; and the bill, on the initiative of the councillors, Elisabetta Santoianni (FI), Giampaolo Bevilacqua (Lega), Pierluigi Caputo (Occhiuto President), Luciana De Francesco (FdI), Domenico Giannetta (FI), and Vito Pitaro (NM) on “Protection and valorisation of the olive growing heritage of the Calabria Region” (approved amidst controversy) with which to streamline the procedures and facilitate the paperwork process, and maintain adequate protection of the olive trees, the environment, as well as the development of the agricultural economy linked to the production of oil.
