As part of targeted judicial police services against drug trafficking and dealing, the State Police arrested a man resident in the municipality of Ricadi for possession for the purpose of dealing drugs. The operation was conducted on the morning of November 4th by agents of the Flying Squad of Vibo Valentia, in collaboration with the Fixed Post of Tropea.
During a personal and home search, the police found two blocks of hashish weighing approximately 187 grams in total, 51 grams of cocaine and several doses of hashish and marijuana already packaged for retail sale in the garden of the house.
The kidnapping and arrest
Inside the house, the officers also found two precision scales, packaging material and 4,950 euros in cash, in small denomination banknotes. Elements that confirmed the suspicion of a well-organised drug dealing activity.
At the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Vibo Valentia, the man was arrested and placed under house arrest, awaiting the decisions of the Judicial Authority.
Today, the investigating judge of the Court of Vibo Valentia validated the arrest and ordered precautionary custody in prison.
