Luckily no one was hurt, but it could have been a lot worse. Outrage is mounting on social media from the residents of Rose and from the parents who accompanied their children to school this morning. Despite the orange alert, in fact, the Municipality’s school facilities were not closed.
The worst was avoided in the afternoon, around 4.30pm, when the partial collapse of a ruin occurred on a secondary road in the Saporita district – an area where the nursery, primary and secondary schools are located – right in the transit area of the school bus.
No damage to people or things was reported, but if the collapse had occurred within a couple of hours someone could have been seriously hurt. On social networks, many commented on the incident expressing strong indignation. Schools will be closed tomorrow, February 13th.
