Russian forces launched a drone attack on Kiev tonight, wounding at least one person: local officials reported this, quoted by the Ukrainian media. After a brief pause in attacks at the request of US President Donald Trump, Moscow has resumed raids on the Ukrainian capital in recent days as residents continue to grapple with freezing temperatures. Explosions were heard in Kiev between 2am and 4.15am local time, public broadcaster Suspilne reported. The head of the city’s military administration Tymur Tkachenko said the attack targeted several neighborhoods including Obolonskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi.

Yesterday’s Russian attacks left more than 53,000 families without electricity in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region, Governor Ivan Fedorov was quoted as saying by Kiev media.
