Over 600 thousand euros to renovate the school canteens of the “San Francesco” schools of Vaccariziello and “Fratelli Bandiera”: this is the important result obtained by the municipal administration of San Giovanni in Fiore, led by the mayor Rosaria Succurrowhich intercepted additional PNRR resources, without weighing on the body’s budget.
“Thanks to these funding – the Succurro mayor points out – we will be able to carry out fundamental interventions to guarantee our children modern, safe, healthy and functional environments. It is a concrete step to improve the quality of the school refection service, for the benefit of families and the educational community ».
The project relating to the canteen of the “San Francesco” school, for an amount of 382,800 euros, and that of the “Fratelli Bandiera” school, for a value of 231,825 euros, provide for the Complete renovation of the canteen premises, the adaptation of systems to hygiene-sanitary regulations, the installation of new energy-efficient systems, the use of environmentally friendly materials and the introduction of safe and ergonomic furnishings.
«We are talking – explains the first town – of interventions designed to respond concretely to the needs of children and to support the work of the cooperative that has always managed the canteen service with commitment, since I was a student myself. Today we are committed to offering the little ones or healthy meals and dignified, welcoming and child -friendly spaces ».
The Succurro administration thus confirms the centrality of educational and childhood policies, and continues along a line already traced with numerous interventions on schools, sports facilities and services for families.
