«A new face for Polsi»: this is the audiovisual project created by students of the comprehensive institute “F. Pentimalli” of Gioia Tauropresented this morning in the conference room of the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Polsi. The initiative, the Prefecture reports in a note, is part of an educational path aimed at making children aware the cultural and religious value of the Marian sanctuary, located in the heart of the Aspromonte National Park, modifying that widespread narrative that focuses on aspects connected to theorganization in the dating site of the top criminals. The video, the note continues, «is the result of a valuable activity of historical research and discovery of the roots and identity of the place by the students who, with great enthusiasm, committed themselves to restore historical and cultural dignity to such a complex realitydemonstrating the desire to build a future free from the oppressive presence of the ‘ndrangheta». The documentary, screened during the event, «has strengthened the awareness of the new generations of the importance of valorizing the Calabrian cultural heritage, with a view to redemption and affirmation of legality».
