With the launch of the tender for the redevelopment of the area, Santa Margherita is preparing to change its face. Where today there is only scrub, tomorrow a large public park of 12,000 m2 will be built on land expropriated for public use: a transformed space, ready to become the beating heart of the southern area of Messina. An investment of over 2.8 million euros, financed by the Metro Plus and Southern Medium Cities National Program 2021-2027, to give new life and value to a forgotten area, creating places of aggregation, culture, sport and entertainment. The future arena will be able to host events, concerts, theatrical performances, sporting events and cultural initiatives, offering citizens new opportunities for meeting, art and creativity. Regenerating this place means returning quality, accessible and inclusive spaces to the entire community: together we are building a more livable, welcoming and dynamic Messina.
