State Police agents carried out the precautionary measure of the obligation to stay against two brothers of Caronia, breeders and originally from Tortorici, deemed seriously suspected of the crimes of extortion in competition and introduction of their animals in the fund of others with relative abusive grazing, crimes aggravated by the recurrence for both.
The two, already from 2022 and on a daily basis, made their animals bound to make them graze in the nearby land, owned by the Institute for the Blinds of Palermo, resorting to heavy threats towards the tenants, owners of farms, making them subject to real abuses, forcing them to abandon the land and seek others to make their animals graze, and thus suffering an important economic damage, From the existing of the sums, however, due to the public authority, for the rent.
The meticulous investigations delegated by the Public Prosecutor of Patti and carried out by the agents of the PS police station of Sant’Agata Militello, have made it possible to deepen the facts reported by the offended people finding the findings, through information activities, investigations on the places with planimetric and satellite checks and surveys, as well as by means of a documentary acquisition relating to the property and possession of the land.
The execution took place, the suspects were imposed on the obligation to stay in some hamlets of the Municipality of Caronia, excluding the possibility of reaching the areas on which the invaded land arise, with the prescription not to leave their respective homes from 21:00 to 6:00.
