The hot sun and the August holidays leave cancer patients without therapies. A lady of Saracendue to the due to a lack of doctors and nurses in the oncology department of the Castrovillari hospital, she would have been left without chemotherapy. It seems that due to a less than careful management of shifts, yesterday the oncology department was left without personnel assigned to administering treatments to many patients in the Pollino area. A situation that has created serious prejudice and inconvenience for the patients of a division that, due to the delicate pathologies it treats, schedules life-saving therapies in advance in order to combat the resurgence of aggressive diseases that risk definitively compromising the lives of patients. The lack of personnel that grips the Pollino hospital added to the August holidays of doctors and nurses, therefore, would be at the root of yesterday’s inconvenience in the oncology division, an outpatient clinic that, unfortunately, records an ever-increasing number of patients.
