The government will allocate the service charges for the Crotone-Rome flight even after 2026. The Crotone Airport Citizen Committee asks for it. Which, in a note addressed to the Region, urges the governor Roberto Occhiuto to be promoted with the executive of the premier Giorgia Meloni so that another 13 million euros are guaranteed in the next budget law to finance the route between the “Pythagora” airport and the capital.
As is known, in 2023 the “Sky Alps” company won the tender launched by ENAC to ensure – for three years – the connection with the Fiumicino airport with the 13,281,817 euros of service charges. That is, public money that the state put available to encourage, from 2023 to 2026, the territorial continuity between Crotone (which is also connected with Turin, Bergamo, Bologna and Düsseldorf) and Rome keeping the cost of the ticket low. And for the committee it is necessary to “start the technical-administrative process to guarantee continuity to the service without interruption”.
