Sebastiano Pirri arrested: he would have executed his son with a blow to the neck and hidden the corpse in the apple peace countryside

He ended up in handcuffs Sebastiano Pirri, 63 years old, arrested by the carabinieri of the Messina investigative nucleus in execution of an order for pre -trial detention in prison issued by the investigating judge of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto. The man is accused of voluntary murder aggravated against his son, Angelo Pirri, 41 years old, whose corpse was found on June 6 in an advanced state of decomposition in the apple campaigns. The accusation of port and illegal possession of the firearm is also on him. The crime, which brings the features of a real execution, would have been consumed on the evening of June 3. According to the reconstruction of the investigators, coordinated by the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto prosecutor’s office led by the prosecutor Emanuele Crescenti Verzera, the 63 -year -old would have attracted his son in an isolated and rural area, and then cold with a blow to the neck exploded with a gun detained illegally. A cold-blooded crime, followed by the attempt to make the body disappear: the killer would have dragged the victim beyond the fence of the Messina-Palermo highway, through a passage made in the net, leaving the body in a drainage channel on the edge of the roadway. The technical investigations conducted by the Carabinieri with the support of the RIS of Messina, the Eliportato squadron “Cacciatori di Sicilia” and the 12th Core Helicopter of Catania were decisive for the turning point in the investigation. The investigations, started from the early hours after the discovery of the body, have made it possible to reconstruct the circumstantial framework against the victim’s father, already known to the police. At the end of the formalities of the ritual, Sebastiano Pirri was transferred to the Messina prison, where he remains available to the judicial authority.
