Shannen Doherty, the actress of Beverly Hills 90210 who has been fighting breast cancer since 2015 and in her podcast “Let’s be clear” talks about the evolution of the disease, underlining that she has no intention of giving up and that she loves life very much, in he last episode – in which he had his best friend, Chris Cortazzo, as a guest – announced that he had made arrangements for his funeral.
“I know these are conversations that may seem morbid, but I have to face them, because I know that it will happen and that I am leaving” said Doherty, then explaining her request to be cremated: “I want my remains to be mixed with those of my dog and my dad. And then I want our ashes to be scattered in a place that my dad and I loved in Malibu, where we spent precious time.”
The actress also talked about the guest list, which will have to be short. «I would only like people who really want to be there she-she explained she-she. There’s a lot of people that I think would show up that I don’t want to be there, because their reasons for showing up aren’t the best. Any examples? They are people who really don’t like me now, they have their reasons and that’s okay. But I would like consistency. You do not like me? Don’t show up at my funeral and pretend you care. But they will do it, because it’s the politically correct thing to do and they don’t want to make a bad impression. I want my funeral to be sincere and a celebration of love. I don’t want people to cry and then privately say, ‘Thank God she’s dead.'”
Shannen Doherty recently revealed that the cancer was now at stage four and that it had spread to her bones, while last year metastases were found in her brain and she had to undergo a delicate operation and then radiotherapy.
