The regional councilor of the public function and local autonomies Andrea Messina met the presidents of the free provincial consortia. The commissioner reiterated the commitment of the regional government to concretely support free consortia, recognizing their fundamental role in the Sicilian institutional fabric. “The meeting with the presidents – underlines Messina – was profitable and confirmed the common will to work in synergy to overcome the critical issues and return full operation to these entities. It is essential that the former provinces return to be a solid reference point for the territoriescapable of giving concrete answers to the needs of communities. For our part there is the maximum commitment to guarantee the necessary support for an effective reorganization and enhancement of entities “.
