SIMEST, the company for the internationalization of the companies of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti group, and the Calabria Region have today signed a Collaboration agreement to support growth on the foreign markets of local businesses.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by the CEO of SIMEST, Regina Corradini d’Arienzo and by the President of the Calabria Region, Roberto Occhiuto. The regional councilor for economic development is also present, Rosario vary.

With the agreement, a synergistic activity starts aimed at promoting new initiatives in support of the internarationalization of Calabrian companies and the respective production chains in all countries in which SIMEST operates in order to increase the degree of penetration of Made in Italy in foreign markets and the level of exports of local businesses.

To this end, Simest and Calabria Region will activate to select and jointly evaluate the realization of entrepreneurial projects aimed at the foreign growth of companies through the use of SIMEST financial instruments.

Also promoted will all tools of facilitated finance and exports support and equity managed by SIMEST as well as the organization of training meetings with companies. To this end, the two institutions are committed to carrying out a specific program of meetings, reserved for businesses, through webinars or events.

The parties undertake to collaborate in the organization of any missions abroad for local companies, also on the occasion of particularly important international events. SIMEST is the company of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti group that supports the growth and competitiveness of Italian companies that also operate abroad.

SIMEST flanks companies by supporting their investments in innovation and sustainability and accompanying them throughout the entire international expansion process, from the first approaches to a new market up to the expansion through foreign direct investments. SIMEST operates through three product lines: subsidized funding; participatory investments; support for exports.
