Jannik Sinner is back on the pitch. Eighteen days after the match won in Madrid against Karen Khachanov and the forced stop due to a right hip injury, the Italian took up the racket again in Monte-Carlo.

A first contact with the pitch – as evidenced by the photos posted by the world number 2 on his Instagram profile – is important in the approach to Roland Garros, which starts on May 26th. Sinner left J Medical on Friday afternoon after a week of treatment for inflammation in his right hip.

The feedback from the tests carried out at the end of the treatment cycle in Turin is reassuring. The treatment and rest have given a good response and the player, from a clinical point of view, is fine. Positive sensations, for this reason Sinner took up the racket again in the Principality. He will gradually increase the workload. Sinner has not yet resolved his reservations about participating in the Roland Garros Slam. His will is clear, however it is a delicate decision that he will make together with his doctors and team.
