The Councilor for Social Policies, Caterina Capponicommunicates the publication of the public notice aimed at the establishment of a partnership for co-planning and subsequent management of an intervention to be nominated for the funding in the Fund for the inclusion of deaf people and with ipoacusia, established by decree of the Minister for the disability of January 8, 2025.
The fund, intended for annuality 2023, assigns the Calabria Region of a share of 204,751.00 euros, to be used to support additional projects with respect to regional programming, aimed at promoting full and effective social inclusion of deaf people and with hearing loss.
“This notice represents a concrete step towards a more just society, inclusive and accessible for everyone -declares the commissioner Capponi -. With these resources we intend to enhance tools and services that make the participation of deaf people effective and with hearing loss in social, cultural and institutional life. These are not good intentions, but a real commitment to transform rights into daily opportunities. It is our institutional duty to act to reduce the most fragile people With concrete and measurable actions “.
The projects may concern one or more of the following purposes: to promote the knowledge and use of the Italian (LIS) language language and the tongue tactile signs (List); enhance interpreting services to facilitate access of deaf people to public services, including emergency ones; Promote the use of innovative technologies to break down the barriers of communication and information, also for people who use acoustic prostheses or cochlear implants.
The following subjects can participate in the co-planning, in single or associated form: entities of the third sector registered in the RUNTS, with registered office and/or operational in Calabria on the date of publication of the notice; Non -profit organizations of social utility (Onlus); Social cooperatives and their consortia, registered in the regional register of social cooperatives and with activities consistent with art. 6 of the LR n. 28/2009.
With this notice, the Department renews its commitment for the promotion of rights and equal opportunities, in a path of inclusion that goes beyond the statements of principle and translates into effective and tangible responses for the territory.
