Stromboli made its voice heard again today, at 6:46 PM, when from the northern crater area, affected by intense spattering activity in the last two weeks, a flow of incandescent material came out and rapidly spread along the Sciara del Fuoco, reaching the coastline and the stretch of sea facing it.
At the same time, an intense cloud of smoke, presumably caused by the collapse of a part of the volcanic ridge adjacent to the crater area involved, covered the summit of Stromboli, rising for several hundred meters and spreading, albeit partially, also towards the town center. A small flow is underway, according to the images shown by the thermal camera, in the upper part of the Sciara.
