The Calabria Region, through the Economic Development Department in concert with the Tourism, Territorial Marketing Department, local public transport and sustainable mobility, has published, with Decree no. 1648 of 07/02/2025, the notice to support the quality tourist reception in Calabria as part of the Pr For Festr-Fse program+ 2021/2027 to support the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the tourism sector. This was announced, with a video on Instragram, the president of the Calabria Region, Roberto Occhiuto.
With a total financial endowment of 50 million euros, The initiative aims to improve the competitiveness of companies through redevelopment, innovation and digitization projects. The goal is to raise the qualitative standards of accommodation facilities, promote sustainability and enhance local traditions.
The notice is aimed at micro, small and medium -sized enterprises operating in tourism, Excluding active companies in specific sectors such as fishing, primary agriculture and other non -eligible categories. The notice finances redevelopment, expansion, modernization, renovation or construction of new tourist accommodation facilities, both hotel (minimum 3 stars) and extra-hotel (minimum 3 smiles). In addition, it promotes projects to improve quality, sustainability, digitalization and innovation in the tourist offer, with the aim of increasing the competitiveness and attractiveness of the tourism sector in Calabria.
The resources are divided into two lines of intervention:
– Line 1: supports projects for hotel structures with a minimum classification of 3 stars, with a provision of 40 million euros.
-Line 2: Supports extra-hotel structures, such as bed and breakfast and farmhouses, with a minimum classification of 3 smiles, with an equipment of 10 million euros.
The contribution is granted in the capital and can cover up to 60% of the expenses for small businesses and 50% for medium -sized enterprises.
The computer platform for sending applications will open on March 5, 2025 at 10:00 until resources exhaustion.
