Luca Zaia, president of Veneto, is the most welcome Italian governor, followed by Massimiliano Fedriga of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. This is what emerges from a SWG survey. The two Northern League, followed by the new entry of Umbria Stefania Proietti, confirm the results of 2024 between March and May 2025: to the question on what the work of Zaia considers effective, it responded to ‘or’ enough ‘70% of the interviewees; For Fedriga the percentage was 64%. Third is Proietti, the first governor of the center -left of this ranking, with 53%.

In fourth place we find the forzist Roberto Occhiuto (Calabria) at 52% but in sensitive growth (+6%) compared to 2024. Occhiuto is first among the governors of the South, and first among the presidents of the Forza Italia region, a party of which he is vice national secretary. Quinto is Vincenzo De Luca, Pd Governor of Campania who, although he obtains the same result as Occhiuto, 52%, is down 4 points compared to last year. Among the first five governors, therefore, there are three – Zaia, De Luca and Fedriga – which are already in the second term and therefore, to current rules, will not be able to recover.

Continuing the ranking, in sixth place there is Eugenio Giani (Pd, Tuscany), with 47% (+6% compared to 2024). The newly elected Michele De Pascale (Pd, Emilia-Romagna) obtains 45%; Alberto Cirio (FI, Piedmont) follows with 42% (-3%). Vito Bardi (FI, Basilicata) is 39%(-4%) such as Marco Bucci (center-right, Liguria) at 39%. At 37% Alessandra Todde (M5S, Sardinia) and Francesco Acquaroli (Fdi, Marche) which however rises by one point. Attilio Fontana (Lega, Lombardy) is lower (35%, -3%). Same value for Michele Emiliano (Pd, Puglia) who however records a 4%drop. The tail trio: Marco Marsilio (Fdi, Abruzzo) at 35%, penultimate Francesco Rocca (Fdi, Lazio) at 31%but to grow by 2%. Last, at a distance, Renato Schifani: the Governor FI of Sicily is 25%, falling by 2%.
