“Last night he arrived on the border between Iran and Azerbaijan a convoy with about eighty Italians, the last one is doing the last obligations in these minutes”: the Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, said it in the morning. “So even from Tehran we tried to start as many Italians as possible. We also reduced the staff of the embassy, who for now remains open”, he added that “the main concern of the Government, Foreign, of all our embassies and our consulates is to guarantee the safety of our fellow citizens ».
“I also offered Rome as a meeting place, as has happened twice between Oman, Iran and the United States, we will now see what will happen. The positive news is that there is this ceased the fire (between Israel and Iran, editor’s note), which I hope can be respected: this makes a sigh of relief, even to our fellow citizens who live in that part of the world”:
Alarm in the Italian base in Lebanon before the truce
At dawn of this morning, in the Italian base of UNIFIL, in the south of Lebanon, the alarms for missiles between Israel and Iran were also resounded.
Just in the moments when the last launches were recorded and in which Donald Trump announced the truce reached between Israel and Iran, the alarms that ordered the military to find shelter with the protective devices worn were resounded at Shama. However, it was not a bunker alarm, as happened in the days and recently and, more frequently, in the weeks following 8 October.
